How to Track Your Casino Sessions

A useful casino session log starts with a consistent definition of a session. Record one continuous period of play for one game, then save a new entry when you switch games or return for another visit. This keeps Blackjack, Baccarat and Roulette results separate.

What belongs in each session record?

Record the date, location, game, currency, start and end time or duration, total buy-in and final cash-out. Optional notes can preserve context such as a table limit or why you ended the session.

Buy-in includes every reload

If you start with 300 and later add 200, enter 500 as the total buy-in. Cashing out 420 gives a loss of 80. Do not create a second session just for a reload during the same continuous visit.

Cash-out is the actual money returned

Use the final redeemed amount. Account for any commission before entering it, and avoid counting money twice. A zero cash-out is still a complete record when the entire buy-in was lost.

Example: changing games during a visit

These illustrative records use the same currency. You play Blackjack for 90 minutes with a buy-in of 300 and cash-out of 380: +80. Later you play Baccarat for an hour with a buy-in of 200 and cash-out of 140: −60. Save two entries rather than a single mixed-game session.

The combined visit result is +20, while the separate records retain the result and duration of each game. Do not enter the first game’s profit as the second game’s buy-in unless that is the actual amount you bought in for.

A simple routine in FromFish

  1. Create a new session and select Casino Games, then the game you played.
  2. Enter the date, location, currency and time details.
  3. Enter total buy-in and cash-out, add any notes and save.
  4. Review the session list and use dashboard filters to compare a date range or game.

Review records before drawing conclusions

Look for missing visits, incorrect reloads and inconsistent currencies first. Compare cumulative profit or loss alongside individual sessions. A short run of results cannot tell you whether future visits will be profitable.
